Big Bad Wolf

The Big Bad Wolf is Malaysia’s largest, coolest book sale, where brand-new books go on huge discounts (70%-95%)! A book that typically costs RM60 would be marked down to only RM8 at the Big Bad Wolf! Just how awesome is that? That’s the beauty of the sale, and it only comes around once a year.

Last year, I spent several hours perusing books and came out with 15 new novels. And this year, I went again. TWICE.

Mostly everyone at the sale — myself included — was on a mission. A mission to find good books. During my recent two trips on Sunday and Thursday, I bought a total of 40 books!

So here’s my confession. I’m a bookworm.

Oh boy. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The large exhibition hall was packed with books of all kinds. I lingered mostly around the fiction area, my eyes busily scanning the glossy titles for some of my favorite authors. I’m a fan of James Patterson, Kimberly McCreight, Gillian Flynn, Jodi Picoult and Emily Giffin.

But I grabbed some books from Lee Child, Sue Monk Kid and Harlan Coben so I could expand my reading circle to include other renowned writers.

James Patterson’s books are pretty intense, packed with heaps of edge-gripping moments of suspense. And every now and then it’s nice to unwind with a good chick lit, like Carole Matthews or Emily Giffin.
What are some of your favorite books? 🙂

I’ve read books by Patterson and they are indeed INTENSE. Have you read Wonder by RJ Palacio? How about Me Before You by Jojo Meyers? I’m into novel. 🙂 But recently ordered this Sci fi Disney based series by Mayer: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter. I’m reading Book 1. Miss you and your writing 🙂

Thanks dear! How are you? I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to sit down and blog. Counting on Christmas for a good break 🙂 Ahh I’ve heard so much about “Me Before You” by Jojo Meyers, but it was sold out by the time I got there. Thanks for the book recommendations. No I haven’t read Rainbow Howell’s books but I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for them and The Lunar Chronicles too!

*correction: Meyer not Mayer for the Sci fi Disney called The Lunar Chronicles. Have you read any of Rainbow Howell’ books? But first read those two I’ve mentioned (if you haven’t) ❤ heehee
