Beautiful Surprise Birthday

Hope you all had a great weekend! On Saturday, my brother and I photographed one of the most beautiful surprise birthdays ever. I was invited to photograph my friend’s mother’s 66th birthday, and he and his wife skillfully pulled off the surprise party right under his mother’s nose! The lovely couple rented the spacious venue with huge windows that overlooked the town and tastefully decorated the area with balloons. They rang up their mom’s closest friends, hired the caterer and got everything planned out for the big event.

My friend’s sister was supposed to take their mother (Aunty Jennifer) to the venue at a designated time. They had cheekily told Aunty Jennifer that that they were going to watch a movie, so the entire time she’d been under the impression that they were just going to kickback with some popcorn and enjoy the show. Minutes before they showed up, all the guests hilariously hid behind the counter to surprise her.

Aunty Jennifer took a few steps into the room and paused, wondering if she was in the right place. Where was the movie? Why was the room so beautifully decorated with balloons?

And then everyone sprang out from behind the counter and yelled, “Surprise!!!”

Her expression was priceless. 🙂 Her hands flew up to her face the moment she realized that everyone had gathered here to throw her a surprise party. She was overjoyed. And that was definitely the highlight of the evening.

It was a such blessing and a privilege to be able to document these precious memories! 🙂

How are you, Carissa? I haven’t blogged in a while. I’m hibernating. Haha it’s too cold in New York right now. 😦 yesterday it snowed and today it rained. Haha I hope all is well with you. 🙂

Hi girl! I haven’t had any inspiration to write lately so I’ve been taking a slight blogging hiatus too. Lol. Aww hope the weather warms up soon, I know how brutal winters in NY can be but hang in there with a good cup of hot chocolate and it’ll all be okay! Hope all’s great with you too 🙂 Keep up the blogging, please. I love your writing! ❤
