Wild Honeys In Sunny Singapore

I’ve been meaning to write, but I guess I lost a little bit of that creative spark for blogging over the past few months. The irony is that I’m writing and editing articles at work everyday for Kaodim’s Malaysian and Singaporean blogs, but I’m mostly writing about interior designing, cleaning, home renovation or catering – and after work I’m usually too tired or lazy to blog about my personal life.

Here’s an attempt to revive that dull flame, featuring month-old photos from Singapore. In late September, my company sent me and two of my coworkers to Singapore for a few days to meet up with some of our service providers. I was tasked with the videography. It was an exhausting but enjoyable trip. I’d always yearned to travel for work, and this was a perfectly good opportunity.

Our hotel was located near Orchard Road, the thriving hub where tourists flock for food and shopping. So I took the privilege to stroll the streets and explore the urban neighborhood I was in, but the humidity caused beads of sweat to trickle down my back within several seconds of being in the sweltering Singapore sun.

On Monday, work begun. My coworkers and I were darting in and out of MRT stations and traveling around Singapore to meet our clients.

We took snack breaks in between to satisfy our sweet cravings. On another note, Singapore’s streets are so clean, a speck of rubbish on the road would be an abomination.

Met up with some friends from college and high school! That’s Rachel & Henry on the right. Can’t wait to see them at the end of the month… at their wedding!

In a nutshell, it was a really productive work trip. 🙂 See you soon, Singapore.
